Mary
Wiley is best known for her luscious landscapes, garden scenes
and floras. Working impressionistically,
she strives to stir the emotions of the viewer. One will
always find an inviting
entryway into the paintings with an interesting sojourn
through times, places or events to which the viewer can relate.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of the North Texas and a Master of Arts degree from the University
of the Incarnate Word. Wiley continued the study of art through
workshops and classes with nationally recognized artists.
Mary
Wiley has served as an adjunct teacher of art for Grayson County
College and the University of Incarnate Word. She teaches
private classes in oils and pastels at her studio, serves as
judge for art exhibits and conducts workshops and programs for
organizations. Her work has been included in several art books
and her biography was included in "NOTABLE WOMEN OF TEXAS.
The artist's works are in collections throughout the United
States, Europe and Japan.
